The
Devil
The Devil assists
the female and male
in the dark dances
of their own unique
hell, one they have
created for
themselves. The
female figure is
engulfed in a
spiderly cocoon,
once silky is now
hardened into a
prison - she is
blindfolded, and so
is the small head of
the one she is
obsessed with in her
hands. Together they
sit in wretched
suspension, seeing
nothing but their
own inner agony. The
male's cocooned and
bloody right arm and
bleeding genitals
speak of sexual
deviance, neglect of
self,
immorality..the
great yawning mouth
behind him embodies
the sound of the
black void in his
heart, which
compells his self
abuse. This is the
Devil's stage, and
the balconey above
looks down upon the
scene reminding us
of the great theatre
of life.. we are its
players and
observers, learning
great lessons of the
heart through
passions and
frailties.
